QuietLLM is a minimalist AI application operating locally within the user's browser, with an optional cloud-based synchronization feature (“Cloud Sync”).
The following data are stored only within the browser’s local memory (localStorage):
- your personal OpenAI API key,
- conversation history,
- system instructions and settings.
This data is not transmitted to QuietLLM servers and is not processed by us in any way.
When the Cloud Sync feature is enabled, we may process the following data:
- your email address (for login),
- a one-time authentication code (6 digits),
- an encrypted version of your API key and user settings.
This data is used exclusively to synchronize your settings between devices. It is not analyzed, profiled, or used for marketing purposes.
QuietLLM licenses may be purchased through a third-party payment provider. We do not collect or store payment card data.
The controller may process the following data necessary for fulfilling the payment:
- your email address,
- transaction ID, date, and status.
This information is processed solely to fulfill the contract, manage licenses, and handle potential complaints or disputes.
QuietLLM does not use cookies or any third-party analytics or tracking tools. We do not track user behavior on our website.
Personal data may be shared with service providers necessary to operate the QuietLLM service, including:
- cloud infrastructure providers (for Cloud Sync),
- payment processing providers.
Such entities process personal data on the basis of data processing agreements and are required to implement safeguards in line with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
If we use cloud infrastructure or external payment providers, your data may be transferred to countries outside the European Economic Area (EEA), particularly the United States. Such transfers are carried out in accordance with applicable data protection laws, including through the use of Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission or equivalent legal mechanisms.
Personal data is retained for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected:
- locally stored data – until deleted by the user via the browser,
- synchronized data – until the user account is deleted or a deletion request is submitted,
- transaction data – for the period required by applicable laws (e.g. tax or accounting regulations).
Under the GDPR, you have the right to:
- access your personal data,
- request rectification or correction of inaccurate data,
- request erasure ("right to be forgotten"),
- request restriction of processing,
- request data portability,
- object to processing.
To exercise any of these rights, please contact: [email protected]
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority – in Poland, this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office (UODO).
We reserve the right to amend this Privacy Policy as necessary due to legal, technical, or operational changes.
The current version of the Privacy Policy is always available at: https://quietllm.com/privacy-policy.html
